Event: Islamic DeFi & Digital Assets – A New Paradigm for Financial Inclusion

Blockchainology attended an incredibly insightful lecture yesterday evening: ‘Islamic DeFi & Digital Assets – A New Paradigm for Financial Inclusion’, at the Centre of Islamic and Middle Eastern Law at SOAS University of London, where Khalid Howladar, Founder and Managing Partner of Acreditus, discussed the challenges of our existing financial system and how DeFi and digital assets can be harnessed to build powerful and scalable networks for contracts, commerce and finance that can bring #ethics and values back into our economic lives.

The lecture was followed by a delectable reception, where we had the opportunity to meet with Khalid and fellow attendees. It was great to connect with fellow attendees from many different industries and backgrounds. The event was organised by Professor Jonathan Ercanbrack (https://www.soas.ac.uk/about/jonathan-ercanbrack).
